Physical Search
Many do NOT understand the importance of a good physical search. A physical search is where 50% of eavesdropping devices and weaknesses in security are found.
Many do NOT enjoy doing it because it is a dirty job, because of all the ladder work and crawling that will have to be done but that is what it takes to do a good job.
In addition to possibly discovering actual devices during this phase we will also be searching for evidence of prior attempts at eavesdropping for example: fresh paint, putty, hand prints on dust, old wire.
We also look into air ducts, common heater ducts, walls common with storage rooms and toilet facilities because that is heaven for eavesdroppers because they can use building structures for eavesdropping without electronics.
Equipment for physical searches will be flashlights, UV lights, borescopes, acoustic leakage amplifiers, mirrors, thermal imaging.
